THE AIMS OF THE MEETING
Emphasizing the importance of applying
the principles of sustainable development in road economy
activities
- Recognition the issues and suggestions for solving the problems,
road economy is facing with, in achieving the objectives of
environmental protection and resource management during all
stages of road life cycle, from planning to maintenance of
the road network
- Exchange of experiences and regional
cooperation strengthening which refers to environmental protection
from the impact of roads and traffic
- Promotion of a comprehensive
approach and continuity in the implementation of the principles
and methods of environmental protection in all stages of the
road life cycle, from planning, through design, constructing
and operating, to maintenance

1. IMPACT OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRAFFIC ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIETY
- impact assessment, impact modeling, strategies and measures to avoid and mitigate negative impacts, monitoring and condition indicators, regulatory framework
2. SUSTAINABILITY OF ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
